For the tenth consecutive year, Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has retained its top spot as the world's busiest cargo airport, according to Airports Council International.

Despite a challenging business environment, HKIA's strong position is largely due to its extensive connectivity, high operational excellence and successful collaboration with partners. HKIA has handled 4.6 million tonnes of cargo this year (to end-May 2020), a 7.7% decrease compared to the previous 12-month period.
