One of the oldest, but only recently rediscovered, modes of freight transport in modern-day Europe-China traffic is rail freight. The primary reasons for this are the steady growth of the Chinese economy as a world market and the search for the best way to get the vast quantities of goods produced by the Far Eastern country with the strongest economy to the customer at the best value for money.
In many cases, sea transport is very slow, air transport is fast but prohibitively expensive. This is why combined transport by rail has re-emerged as an intermediate solution. Rail is almost 50% faster than sea transport, but 45-50% cheaper than air transport. We offer LCL - even at a pallet price - and FCL, door-to-door. We also provide indirect pre- and on-carriage on request.
The costs of rail transport rarely vary, and are considerably more predictable than sea container transport.
